Cotton Disease Update

In the past week, target spot has been found in central and northeastern Louisiana. Overall incidence and severity seem to be very low at this point. Target spot, caused by Corynespora cassiicola, starts on the lowest leaves in the canopy, and “fresh” lesions appear as pencil eraser- to dime-sized, water soaked, green to gray, circular lesions.
