BATON ROUGE — A hurricane watch was issued late Wednesday afternoon in Louisiana from the mouth of the Mississippi River to Cameron as the National Hurricane Center forecasts a Category 1 hurricane will make landfall Saturday between Lake Charles and Lafayette. Gov. John Bel Edwards said Louisiana is in the bullseye of the storm that could dump 15 inches of rain in 24 hours and create storm surges and flooding along the Louisiana coastline.
