Louisiana Fields & Pastures Go from Wet to Dry in a Hurry

Louisiana farmers have battled wet conditions all year long, but now many are turning on irrigation pumps to maintain soil moisture levels. The latest Louisiana Crop Progress and Condition Report released Monday shows topsoil moisture supplies were 11 percent very short, 35 percent short, 45 percent adequate, and 9 percent surplus.
