BATON ROUGE — Andy Brown rejoins the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation as the organization’s Associate Commodity Director and Director of National Affairs.
Brown had previously served the Louisiana Farm Bureau as its Area 1 Field Services Director during 2015. He left that position to join the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation as its Region 1 Regional Manager. It was there that Brown worked closely with farmers and commodity groups and served as the liaison between the Mississippi Farm Bureau and the Mississippi FFA.
“Those experiences in Mississippi really set Andy up to excel here in Louisiana,” said Louisiana Farm Bureau Assistant to the President Kyle McCann. “Andy’s interest and knowledge of national policy really makes him a great fit for this position.”
Brown has a Master of Science in Agriculture, Agronomy from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Food and Resource Economics from Mississippi State University.
“I’m really excited to come back to Louisiana and remain part of the Farm Bureau Family,” Brown said. “This state is on the forefront of many national issues, and thanks to the leadership of President Ronnie Anderson, has a strong voice among our delegation in Washington, D.C.”
Brown fills the position vacated when McCann was promoted to Assistant to the president.
Founded in 1922, the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation is the state’s largest general farm organization representing more than 137,000 member families.
