Sugarcane Harvest Reaching the Half-Way Mark

The Louisiana sugarcane harvest continues to move forward, with cane farmers quickly nearing the half-way point according to the latest Louisiana Crop Progress and Condition Report released on Monday. The report shows sugarcane harvest now 47 percent complete, just a couple of points ahead of the five-year average pace.
