Beauregard Parish Couple Arrested for Timber Theft

BATON ROUGE – A couple from DeRidder, La. is in trouble with the law for allegedly stealing timber from an absentee landowner. The timber is valued at $36,094.87. Ricky L. Cooley, 51, and Priscilla L. Cooley, 48, of 426 Arthur Cooley Rd., DeRidder, La., were arrested by enforcement agents with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) on October 2, 2019.
