Edwards, Trump Put Louisiana Ag in Spotlight: 'It's Huge'

WEST MONROE — Gov. John Bel Edwards and President Donald Trump gave Louisiana agriculture a week-long run on world and state stage this week, continuing here Friday with the Ag Expo 2019 kickoff. On Sunday Edwards welcomed the country to the American Farm Bureau Convention in New Orleans followed Monday by Trump welcoming the world to the Farm Bureau Convention, calling farmers "the backbone of our country."
