FRANKLINTON — A group of landowners attended the first of two workshops on Sept. 25 to hear about controlling the invasive cogongrass that has entered the state. Whitney Wallace, AgCenter forestry and wildlife resource agent, said the meeting held at the AgCenter Southeast Research Station was designed to make people aware of how difficult it is to get rid of this grass once it takes root.
