Gov. John Bel Edwards and Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture & Forestry Mike Strain visited Alton Landry, Inc. sugar cane farm in Plaquemine to speak to sugar cane farmers, Thursday, July 19, 2018. The visit was a continuation of the listening tour held last November when the two visited farms across the state covering the state’s major commodities.
