Effects of Tariffs on Southwest Louisiana Rice Farmers

The recent implementation of higher tariffs by the United States has sparked a flurry of retaliation from U.S. trade partners. The effects of which have already started to hurt many farmers in Acadiana, especially those who farm soybeans. One area that hasn’t been directly affected is rice, but that could eventually change.
