SW Louisiana Forestry Association Annual Meeting & Forestry Forum February 24

The Southwest Louisiana Forestry Associations Annual Meeting and Forestry Forum will be held Saturday, February 24th, from 8 AM until noon at the War Memorial Civic Center, 250 West 7th Street, DeRidder. 

 The LSU AgCenter and SW LA Forestry Association will be presenting programs to help forest landowners and professional foresters with managing their forests more profitably.

· USDA-NRCS Update, Mr. Rick Williams, State Forester

“The Benefits of Prescribed Fire” Mr. Rodney McKay, Program Forester, National Wild Turkey Federation

·"Beneficial Fungi & Improving Forest Soils” Mr. George Giltner, Louisiana Tree Farmer

“Improving Pollinator Habitat”, Mr. Adam Malcolm, USDA-NRCS

 LDAF Update, Mr. Jason Waguespack, District Forester, LDAF

The cost is $25 per household comprised of a husband, wife and dependent children. The cost also includes annual membership dues and entitles members to attend other workshops at no charge.
