Louisiana Beekeepers Association Annual Convention Scheduled for December 6th-8th in Sulphur

The Louisiana Beekeepers Association is excited to host Randy Oliver and Dr. Juliana Rangel as two keynote speakers for this year’s 57th Annual Convention. There will be topics for all levels of beekeeping, from simple swarm catching to bee biology and nutrition. Talks will also be offered on different types of beekeeping related topics .

The Louisiana Grazing Lands Coalition Initiative (LAGLCI) has sponsored Larry Allain to speak about pollinators, particularly the honey bee, and their effect on native grasses in Louisiana.

Fulfilling the LBA mission of providing education for beekeepers across Louisiana, the LBA also recognizes the need to partner with farmers and ranchers who play a key role in creating and supporting sustainable habitat for honey bees as well as other pollinators.

Whether you are the beekeeper, the gardener, the farmer, the educator, or the student, there will be some type of learning offered in this convention just for you. Take this opportunity to learn from over 20 different speakers.

For additional convention-related information, please contact Jennifer Brown, LBA Vice-President, at (601) 493-3447. The LBA looks forward to seeing you all in December!
