North Louisiana Ag Expo Just Around the Corner
The 2018 North Louisiana Ag Expo kicks off Friday, January 19th at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe and runs from 2 PM to 8 PM. The expo continues the next day from 9 AM until 4 PM.
The Ag Expo is sponsored by the North Louisiana Agri-Business Council and is geared toward providing agricultural education and networking opportunities for residents and businesses in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi.
Last year more than 10,000 people gathered for Ag Alley, livestock shows and events and the trade show.
Ag Expo 2018 will feather a trade show of the newest products, services and technologies available to the agricultural community, the Horse Breed Extravaganza, a stock dog competition, Junior Livestock Shows both days and educational seminars including "how to" seminars on the trade Show Floor.
Jeff Landry, president of the North Louisiana Agri-Business Council, says this is the largest ag expo in Louisiana. And one of the most popular attractions is Ag Alley which features a petting zoo, giving children who don't normally have the opportunity to interact with farm animals a chance to see those animals up close and personal.
