Louisiana Chick Placements Down 26 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 2.25 million during the week ending September 2, 2017. Placements were down 26 percent from the comparable week in 2016 and down 31 percent from the previous week.
