Louisiana Chick Placements Down 12 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 2.66 million during the week ending September 23, 2017. Placements were down 12 percent from the comparable week in 2016 and down 19 percent from the previous week.
