Louisiana Chick Placements Down 2 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 3.26 million during the week ending September 16, 2017. Placements were down 2 percent from the comparable week in 2016 but up 9 percent from the previous week.
