Louisiana Corn Planting Done as Rain Stops Field Work

Louisiana corn planting is 90 percent done, with rice and other row crops making good progress until heavy rains stopped field work, according to the latest Crop Progress and Condition Report from the National Ag Statistics Service. County agents are reporting very good growing conditions for newly planted corn and rice.
