Soybean Planting Underway; Rice Planting Moving Quickly

The 2017 Louisiana soybean crop is now getting in the ground, with 13 percent of the state's projected 1.4 million acres now planted. The latest Louisiana Crop Progress and Condition Report shows rice planting moving at a faster than average pace, with 76 percent of the crop planted, versus the five-year average of 65 percent.
