Louisiana Chick Placements Down 25 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 2.44 million during the week ending February 25, 2017. Placements were down 25 percent from the comparable week in 2016 but up 16 percent from the previous week.
