Louisiana Chick Placements Up 10 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 2.86 million during the week ending October 21, 2017. Placements were up 10 percent from the comparable week in 2016 but down 5 percent from the previous week.
