Ag Expo Kicks Off Later This Week
“Ag Expo 2017” gets underway Friday, January 13th and runs through Saturday, January 14th at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in Monroe.
The Expo is open from 2-8 PM Friday and from 9-2 PM on Saturday. Admission is $7.00 for adults and children 6 and under get in free.
Sandy Lyons, Executive Director of the North Louisiana Agri-Business Council says people attend from not only Louisiana but also Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas and places in between. The accompanying livestock show pulls entries from Arkansas and Texas as well as Mississippi and Texas.
Lyons says exhibitors for the huge agriculture trade show come from all over the US to check out the latest in farm equipment and learn even more knowledge about new avenues in agriculture education.
And one of the biggest draws of “Ag Expo 2017” will again be the LSU AgCenter’s Mini-Farm featuring live baby farm animals “the kids love,” says Lyons.
