Louisiana Chick Placements Up 3 percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 3.26 million during the week ending January 7, 2017. Placements were up 3 percent from the comparable week in 2016 but down 1 percent from the previous week.
