Oyster Farmers Brace for Slow Season; Shortages Close Harvest Areas

JEFFERSON PARISH, La. —Oyster season opened Wednesday, but only in parts of Louisiana. Reports from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries do not look good for oyster stock or oyster farmers.
