Parish Sugarcane Acreage & Yields Released

Final acreage and yield results for the 2015 Louisiana sugarcane crop have been released by the National Ag Statistics Service.

Total harvested acreage for last years cane crop was 385,000 acres. Iberia parish topped the list with the largest harvested acreage with 50,800 acres. Pointe Coupee led the state in yield with 30.9 net tons per acre.
