Strain: "We're Running Out of Time...Things Must Move This Week"
Story by Carey Martin
The Special Session of the Louisiana Legislature is now past the half-way point. Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Mike Strain said in his radio report Monday that it is time for bills to move. "We are running out of time and things must move, and they must move this week," said Strain.
"Most of the bills really need to be out of committee by Friday. We expect most of them to be moved by Thursday," Strain added. "They worked late last night, and they are back in session today. A number of bills are now reaching the floor of the House."
