HAMMOND, La. – Private landowners in southeast Louisiana who have limited experience with controlled burning of their forests and grasslands are invited to a workshop at Sandy Hollow WMA Headquarters Shop in Kentwood on March 4.
“Whether you are a single-tract landowner or manage thousands of acres, prescribed fire can be part of your land management plan to reduce hazardous fuels, improve wildlife habitat and promote healthy grasslands and forests,” said LSU AgCenter agent Whitney Wallace.
