Louisiana Chick Placements Up 5 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 3.19 million during the week ending December 17, 2016. Placements were up 5 percent from the comparable week in 2015 and up 5 percent from the previous week.
