Congresswoman Letlow Urges FSA to Prioritize Crop Loans

Louisiana 5th District Congresswoman Julia Letlow sent a letter this week to the Acting Administrator of the Farm Service Agency in an effort to expedite approval of USDA guaranteed crop loans as farmers begin planting.

“Guaranteed loan programs play a key role in providing financial stability for our producers, allowing them to secure credit backed by the FSA,” said Letlow to The Voice of Louisiana Agriculture Radio Network. “Given the financial pressures our farmers are facing, FSA must quickly review outstanding applications and get this support moving.”

In the letter, Letlow specifically points out the lack of movement under the 90/10 and 95/5 loan programs.
