April is “Louisiana Crawfish Awareness Month” and the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) reminds the public that there are some health benefits to eating crawfish.
LDH reports crawfish are high protein, low fat, and have tons of health benefits. Crawfish contain magnesium, Omega-3 fatty acids, iron, phosphorous, Vitamin B3 and zinc. Those benefits include help with autoimmune diseases, healthy muscles, bones, blood sugar, nerves and cardiovascular health.
