2023 USA Rice Outlook Conference Registration Now Open

ARLINGTON, VA – If rice is any part of your business, you should plan to attend the 2023 USA Rice Outlook Conference this December 6-8 at the family-friendly and beautiful Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California. Already the largest annual rice-specific event in North America, the space at this year’s Outlook Conference is expected to sell out quickly, and registration opened today.
In response to past attendee and exhibitor input, the schedule has been improved with 13 hours of educational programming in classrooms off the 14,000 square foot exhibit hall, a single General Session, and several special events, including the Annual Rice Awards Luncheon, two networking receptions, and a golf tournament to raise money for The Rice Foundation.
Keynote speakers are Daniel Whitley, administrator of the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, and author and thought leader Eve Turow-Paul. Whitley’s agency is responsible for promoting U.S. agriculture products overseas, and is a long-term and valued partner of the U.S. rice industry that maintains promotion programs in two dozen countries. Turow-Paul’s most recent book is Hungry: Avocado Toast, Instagram Influencers, and our Search for Connection and Meaning, and she will be talking about food and lifestyle trends, human needs, sustainability, and where rice fits in.
As always, educational sessions will send attendees home with actionable, useful information to improve the bottom line from on-farm labor law and direct-to-consumer distribution systems to packaging and putting NASA’s satellite network to use for your farm. Representatives from the land grant universities will provide research and outlook reports from all seven member states of USA Rice.
The Annual Awards Luncheon will celebrate excellence with the announcement of the 2023 Rice Farmer of the Year, Industry Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award. USA Rice will also hand out a Conservation Award, a Sustainability Award, and a PAC Award; The Rice Foundation will present the 2024/26 Rice Leadership Development Program Class; and the Grand Prize Winner of the National Rice Month Video Scholarship Contest will be unveiled.
