La. Farm Bureau President Jim Harper Congratulates Speaker Johnson

Statement from Louisiana Farm Bureau President Jim Harper on the election of Rep. Mike Johnson to Speaker of the House:

“Congratulations to Louisiana 4th District Congressman Mike Johnson in becoming the first member of our state’s delegation to ascend to Speaker of the House of Representatives. Congressman Johnson has always been a friend of Farm Bureau and worked closely with us to protect agricultural land from adverse wetlands regulation, he supported changes to the Sugarcane Crop Insurance Program and most recently he worked with Farm Bureau to address labor shortages for crawfish and seafood processing.
