U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol Enrollment Assistance Meeting Thursday

Please join NCC staff at the Macon Ridge Research Station Scott Center in Winnsboro, LA on Thursday April 14, 2022 for US Cotton Trust Protocol Enrollment Assistance.  If possible, please bring a laptop computer or Ipad.  The purpose of the meeting is for staff to provide you with assistance in completing enrollment in the US Cotton Trust Protocol.

The U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol is a cotton industry initiative that demonstrates how U.S. cotton producers have been and continue to sustainably produce cotton.  The platform will share a collective message of US cotton production in terms of sustainability metrics that will elevate U.S. cotton as leaders in the sustainable cotton production.  Although other countries are proclaiming sustainable practices, the US Cotton Trust Protocol will provide one-of-a-kind documentation demonstrating sustainable practices above competing countries.  Through the protocol platform, we will be able to tell the story of the high social and environmental standards that have been present in U.S. agriculture for decades.

The 2021 enrollment deadline has been extended until the end of April.  NCC staff are attempting to assist interested growers, or their crop consultant representatives in completing the enrollment process thus identifying their bales as protocol bales.

Please RSVP to Mike Turner as soon as possible at mturner@cotton.org  or call at 318-366-2978 if you plan to attend.
