Applications will be judged with the finalists being invited to face-to-face interviews the week of February 13-16, 2023 (same week as State Livestock Show) in Baton Rouge. The document contains all the information related to the eligibility for applying.

The goal of the program is to help develop and train the next generation of veterinarians to serve the rural areas of the state and especially in the areas of large animal health. This is a great opportunity for 4-H and FFA to be recognized as being the foundation for sparking the interest of our youth to become future veterinarians and we ask that you please promote not just to your seniors but also down to 8th and 9th graders as they start to explore future education and career goals.
