When Regnal Wallace approached the Louisiana Farm Bureau board in 1981 and asked directors to invest $150,000 for equipment to produce a weekly agriculture-based TV show, he put on his best sales job.
"This is going to work," said Wallace, who was then the public relations director for the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation.
Former board Chair Paul Ransom said, "Reggie, for your sake, it better."
It did.
"This Week in Louisiana Agriculture," the weekly TV show that showcases the state's largest industry on 18 broadcast and cable stations across Louisiana and nationally on RFD-TV, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this month.
