Charles Canatella, Chairman of the Louisiana Soybean, Grain Research and Promotion Board, is also a member of the United Soybean Board. He says one of the main goals of the USB is to open up new markets worldwide for US soybeans.
“Here in Louisiana, we don’t invest much money and time to market our soybeans. Our national board does a tremendous amount of that through partnership with (the American Soybean Association).
“We go out and develop markets around the world and try to promote our soybeans here in the US as a better soybean for the world to consume,” said Canatella.
“We (the USB board) looked over our new strategic plan during our July meeting which I’m really excited about. Looks like we’re going to be able to look at the money we invest in trying to determine exactly what we are reaping from our investments.
“So I’m really excited about where the US soybean industry is going in the next few years.”
