SU Ag Center Set to Host a Virtual Commercial Cut Flower Production Workshop

Baton Rouge, La. – Flower enthusiasts are invited to participate in the Southern University Ag Center’s Virtual Commercial Cut Flower Production Workshop.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on May 5, 2021.

Topics covered during the virtual event will include growing flowers for the home and market, hoop house production, flower selection, and building a business.

Featured speakers will include Thomas and Anita Roberson, owners of Botanical Bites and Provisions, LLC a 10-acre cut flower and vegetable farm in Fredericksburg, VA; Denyse Cummins, a retired LSU Ag Center Extension Horticulture Agent for Sustainable Gardening Projects and Botanical Illustrations; and Alisha Andrews, owner of Blazing Star Farm a flower and vegetable farm in Sunset, LA.
