The organizers of the Louisiana Farm Bureau Sporting Clays Shootout regretfully announced that the event scheduled for March 19, 2021 will be postponed until a later date.

“We’re just doing this out of an abundance of caution,” said Bossier Parish Farm Bureau President Loyd Dodson. “We were hopeful that COVID cases would be declining enough, and while they are going down, some people don’t feel safe getting together, and that’s understandable.”

“The other factor in that decision was this recent ice storm,” said Louisiana Farm Bureau First Vice-President Marty Wooldridge. “Folks in this part of the state are rebuilding, trying to get water turned back on and we want to have this event when they can focus on helping our youngsters in agriculture, rather than rebuilding their homes and lives.”

According to Dodson, the event will still take place at Los Paloma Sporting Range in Benton, La. when organizers set a new date, and the proceeds will benefit the Louisiana Ag in the Classroom Foundation and the Louisiana Farm Bureau Foundation.
