In Memory of Kaylee Abigail McLain
The 4-H pig belonging to the late Kaylee Abigail McLain will be sold at the Vermilion Parish 4-H Livestock Sale on Saturday, January 16, 2021 to the highest bidder. The sale will begin at 2:00 pm at the Cecil McCrory Exhibit Building.
Kaylee earned her angel wings on December 10, 2020 and entered eternal life at the innocent age of 10. She is the daughter of Erin and Allen McLain, Jr. and sister of Allen III and Luke. Kaylee’s paternal grandparents are Laura and Allen McLain, Sr. of Abbeville and her maternal grandparents are Kenneth and Darla Webb of Egan.
The intentions of the McLain Family are to donate the proceeds from the sale of Kaylee’s pig to the Kaylee Abigail McLain Memorial Fund. This fund was created with the goal of supporting Catholic Education for any student, at any Catholic school. Kaylee never met a stranger and her love was so big it could not be contained to just a few. Her kindness and love of the Lord exemplified all that Catholic Education strives to provide to all students.
The goal of this letter is to accept donation commitments from friends, family and the community, prior to the sale, in an attempt to make a substantial donation to the fund and ultimately secure the highest bid. In addition, we propose that the pig be donated back to be resold, with any additional funds being donated to the memorial fund. If you are interested in ensuring that Kaylee’s legacy lives on, please consider making a commitment in any amount.
You may contact Gwen Broussard at 337-658-0487 or Stephanie LeBouef at 337-652-8516 with your donation commitment.
Thank you for supporting the legacy of Kaylee Abigail McLain and the Vermilion Parish 4-H program.
Sincerely,
Friends of the McLain Family
