The dairy industry in the United States is massive. It supplies dietary requirements to the vast majority of the population. This same industry also contributes approximately 1.58 percent of the country’s total greenhouse gas emissions. A commonly suggested solution to reduce greenhouse gas output has been to reduce or eliminate this industry in favor of plant production.
