The mosquito problem in Louisiana is continuing to affect several areas and parishes post-Hurricane Laura and it continues to grow tremendously. In southern parts of the state, the mosquito swarms are so bad they are even killing off farm animals.
Ouachita Parish Mosquito Abatement Director Shannon Rider helped put that extreme in a more local perspective. Rider shared that while certain parts of the state are basically under mosquito direst, areas here in north Louisiana are seeing something a little more moderate.
