La. Officials Remain Optimistic About Rice Industry

The state’s top agriculture officials remain cautiously optimistic about the future of the rice industry despite the impact of COVID-19 on the U.S. economy.

“It has been a very difficult year in many areas with the pandemic going on,” LSU Vice President of Agriculture Bill Richardson said. “It has been challenging to all of us in addition to all the issues our farm community has been trying to put a crop together, but we are not going to let that deter us.”
