Northwest Louisiana Family Farm grows Lavender for All

As Sandie Smoak walks down the curvy brick pathway, which runs alongside her pink house in Dixie, she is followed by her two kittens named Smith and Wesson. Smoak is wearing a straw hat, a striped apron, and carrying a wicker basket with a pair of scissors in it.  They are heading to a field of purple to cut some fresh lavender. It’s just another day at Dixie Farms Lavender.

This family farm sells a wide collection of items, from lavender mint shampoo bars to lavender vanilla shortbread cookies, which all contain the buds of their north Louisiana lavender.
