4-H'ers Find Purpose With Pumpkins

4-H’ers from across the state have been tending their pumpkin patches. Approximately 600 students from 46 parishes participated in the LSU AgCenter’s Cinderella pumpkin contest.
With parish fairs and summer camps canceled because of COVID-19 restrictions, LSU AgCenter 4-H agent in Washington Parish Beth Putnam and AgCenter horticulturist Kiki Fontenot wanted to give youngsters something purposeful.
