Louisiana Soybean Harvest and Cane Planting Advance, but Behind the Average Pace

Louisiana soybean harvest is getting underway, but is behind the five-year average pace, according to the latest Louisiana Crop Progress and Condition Report released Monday. The report show soybean harvest now five percent complete. The average pace for this time of year is 15 percent. Sugarcane planting is now 24 percent done, behind the five-year average of 34 percent.
