Corn harvest is Louisiana is getting closer, with 8 percent of the crop now mature, according to the Latest Louisiana Crop Progress and Condition Report released Monday. The report shows 62 percent of the crop now denting, with 80 percent in the dough stage. The report does not contain possible damage caused by Hurricane Barry.
