Louisiana Soybean & Cotton Planting Still Behind Schedule

Louisiana farmers continue to struggle to get the 2019 soybean and cotton crops in the ground, according to the latest Louisiana Crop Progress and Condition Report released this week. The report shows soybean planting now at 53 percent complete, versus the 75 percent five year average. Cotton planting is now 38 percent done, behind the five year average of 67 percent.
