New Orleans Farmer Running for Louisiana Agriculture Leader

BATON ROUGE — A New Orleans farmer is vying to become Louisiana’s next agriculture commissioner. Marguerite “Margee” Green is a Democrat who operates a flower and vegetable farm. She announced her campaign Monday to unseat the state’s current agriculture commissioner, Republican Mike Strain.
