Soybean Farmers Eye End to Tariff Truce

Soybean farmers across Louisiana are closely monitoring U.S. trade talks with China as a March 1 truce deadline nears. Officials from the two countries have been negotiating the particulars of a trade pact during a 90-day cooling off period that began in December. During the trade truce, China has purchased more U.S. soybeans after demand plummeted in 2018 during the worst of the tariff war.
