Southwest Louisiana Forestry Association Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of the southwest Louisiana Forestry Association and the LSU AgCenter Forestry Forum will be held Saturday, February 9, from 8 AM until 1:30 PM at the War Memorial Civic Center in DeRidder.

Topics to be discussed include an update on USDA’s NRCS activities from Corby Moore, district conservationist, an update on act ivies of the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry from District Forester Jason Waguespack, the state of Louisiana forestry from Buck Vandersteen, Executive Director of the Louisiana Forestry Association and an update on the Southern Pine Beetle from Dr. Jim Meeker, US Forest Service Entomologist.

There is a $25 per family registration fee and the deadline to register is Monday, February 4th.
