Louisiana Field Reports: Wet Conditions Slow Harvest

“Scattered showers continued last week; however farmers were able to make some progress in their fields. A few local sugarcane mills will start grinding this week with about 20% of the sugarcane crop remaining to be planted. Area could use cooler and drier weather.”
